China Vice President Wang Qishan to Deliver Much Anticipated Keynote at Bloomberg’s First-Ever New Economy Forum in Singapore on November 6-7, 2018

The world’s most influential global leaders from Asia, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Europe and the United States convene in Singapore to tackle challenges in global trade, governance and managing the next financial shock

Singapore, October 31, 2018 – Bloomberg today announced that Wang Qishan, Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural New Economy Forum, hosted by Michael R. Bloomberg in Singapore on November 6-7, 2018. The forum will convene a new community of 400 preeminent leaders, with the goal of seeking private sector-led solutions to challenges created by a world economy in transition, increasingly led by China and India as well as rising powers in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Prominent private and public sector speakers include Gary Cohn, Laurence Fink, Anwar Ibrahim, Dr. Henry A. The New Economy Forum aims to discuss and address some of the world’s most pressing concerns including remaking global trade, how businesses should navigate the new economy, managing threats in global supply chains, financing the new economy, new investment strategies with the geopolitics of markets and managing the next financial shock.

At the end of two days, the forum will offer an update on private sector-led solutions to some of the greatest challenges, including commitments around green supply chains, employee mobility, new corporate social contracts, AI principles, global corporate rating standard, management talent in super cities, financial inclusion of MSMEs, advancing refugee hiring and integration, urban plastics and gender equality.
