H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Larry Fink, and Henry Kravis have created a $4 billion midstream pipeline infrastructure deal. All 3 CEOs spoke on the mainstage last year at The New Economy Forum and after signing the contracts, Fink and Kravis took the stage at ADNOC to talk about foreign direct investment on the UAE’s economy.
In other deal news, LafargeHolcim and Jan Jenisch won the contract for Europe’s largest transport infrastructure project. The project is slated to take place in Paris ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games and will consist of 200 kilometers of new railways and 68 new station stops.
The Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) hosted “A Positive Trade Agenda: Affirming America’s Leadership for the 21st Century” on Wednesday the 27th. Founding Partner Fred Smith gave the introductory remarks, followed by Advisory Board Co-Chair Hank Paulson’s keynote address. After the mainstage program, attendees broke out into separate sessions one of which, “Meeting the China Challenge: Engagement or Decoupling,” was moderated by Dr. Scott Kennedy and featured Ambassador Jorge Guajardo.
