Founding Delegates

A diverse, global delegation of influential leaders from business, government, philanthropy, and academia, selected by Bloomberg and its Founding Partners to share their perspectives on the future of the global economy.

The global GDP will look very different in the future.

Wealth and power are moving from the industrialized West to the nations of the New Economy. Shifting demographics and rapid technological change are creating a new world order. With governments more overwhelmed than ever, businesses must lead, shape policy, and drive progress.

A New Institution for a New Era

Established in 2018 by Michael Bloomberg, the New Economy Forum seeks to build a community of leaders to engage in real conversations—leading to actionable solutions—about the critical challenges facing a world economy in the throes of a historic transition. The inaugural forum will be held in Singapore on November 6-7, 2018, and will cover a range of topics, including global economic management, trade and investment, technology, urbanization, capital markets, climate change and inclusion.

Mike Bloomberg, the Founder of Bloomberg L.P., intends to bring to the forum the same pragmatic approach to problem-solving that marked his tenure as the three-term Mayor of New York City.

All participants will be encouraged to contribute their ideas. Using media technology, we will open the floor to global debate. And we will hear the voices of youth.
